Oliver Herbert, Rachel Maclean, Sarah West
‘If it’s hot, it’s here’ explores, in a temporal and nebulous capacity, themes of grotesque, disgust and repugnance and antagonism between the mundane and the extrovert. From Jordan and Jade to Carrie and the Russian; Herbert, Maclean and West flirt with pop, gossip and celebrity. Creating a visual explosion that exposes and projects the grotesque, the distorted and the disgusting within the everyday. Through this cacophony of the carnivalesque various sub-theme’s emerge: heritage, folklore, storytelling and myth making. This exhibition
